Edward Foster

Edward’s work moves like a pilgrimage, outward into wild landscapes, and inward toward the sacred. For more than three decades he has devoted himself to painting the world as beautiful and divine, creating luminous visions that honour the deep kinship between humanity and nature. His paintings, held in collections across the UK and internationally, are not merely images but invitations: to remember, to re-enchant, to see with wonder.

Featured in publications and on the BBC, and commissioned for book covers, albums, spiritual centres and public works, his art carries a quiet universality. Yet it remains intimate, rooted in lived experience, contemplation, and reverence.

Music flows through his creativity as naturally as paint. Performing on the Renaissance lute, he composes and plays as an extension of the same vision that guides his brush. As a teacher of 25 years, he nurtures that vision in others, affirming that creativity is every soul’s birthright.

This spirit of myth, landscape and living tradition resonates deeply with the ethos of LORE; where story, place, and ancestral memory meet in contemporary expression.
